Get ready Arianators—Netflix's newest concert film Excuse Me, I Love You presents Ariana Grande's Sweetener world tour live for fans to enjoy in the comfort of their living room. Grande announced the project's December 21 release on social media today, explaining that the date marks the anniversary of the tour's final show. In an Instagram post, she thanks her fans for their support over the course of career. "Releasing this as a love letter to u all, in celebration of all that we’ve shared over the past few years," she writes. "I know this project only captures some of one tour (out of all the other hundreds of shows and moments we have shared over the past six or seven years… Jesus lol) but I just wanted to thank u all for showing me more in this lifetime already than I ever dreamed of."

The Sweetener tour promoted Grande's fourth studio album of the same name, as well as Thank U, Next, which she released less than a year later. While on stage, the "Dangerous Woman" songstress performed in custom-made costumes by Versace and Michael Ngo.

Around the time of Sweetener's debut in the summer of 2018, Grande's whirlwind romance and later-broken engagement with comedian Pete Davidson was the subject of a major media frenzy. After their separation and the death of her ex-boyfriend rapper Mac Miller, the popstar broke streaming and charting records with her single "Thank U, Next." The subsequent album discussed her relationships, grief, and mental health.

The "7 rings" singer released a live album of the tour titled K Bye for Now (Swt Live) in late 2019, and her most recent record, Positions, debuted at #1 on the US Billboard 200 in October of this year. Despite her overwhelming success, Grande's announcement post hints that she may be considering new creative avenues. She said, "making music and doing all of this has been all I've known or fully given myself to consistently for a very long time now. although my heart is looking forward to a change of pace, I wanted to express again just how eternally thankful I am." In October, it was announced that Grande would star alongside Timothée Chalamet, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Jennifer Lawrence in an upcoming Netflix film.

The trailer for Excuse Me, I Love You will be released December 10.
