Lil Nas X's bussy water has broken; it's not a sentence I anticipated writing, but here we are.

New mother Nas has just given birth to his debut album Montero. The 15-track LP is raking in postive early reviews, and features collabs with the likes of Miley Cyrus and Elton John. Nas' lead up to its release has been a campy and confusing one. The singer announced his pregnancy in early September, and followed with a long series of baby shower and sonogram pictures.

Last night, Montero was unleashed upon the earth, along with a whole host of album track visuals, a music video, and a sketch titled "The Montero Show."

With its Brokeback Mountain references and a shower sex scene that can only be described as softcore pornography, Nas' latest video sees him barreling down the path he began when he first came out. The singer is perhaps the most unapologetically queer and provoctavie pop star currently making music.

Whether it's male pregnancy or grinding on the devil, he knows how to stir up controversy. But where does that leave the music in all this mess? Singles "Call Me By Your Name" and "Industry Baby" were both certifiable hits. On the album, "Dead Right Now" and "That's What I Want" lead as early favorites.

Though his earlier EP 7 was met with little acclaim or attention, it seems that given the time to hit his stride and emerge from the shadow of runaway success "Old Town Road," Nas is able to produce a truly exciting piece of work.

Undoubtedly, the hype will always be a part of this young artist's content. There is no Montero without Nas' particular brand of troll humor. After "Old Town Road," there was certainly a future in which Nas was all hype, no real music. As much as "Old Town Road" was a banger, it was just as much a rap-infused cowboy aesthetic.

With Montero, Nas has succeded in blending his music and stunts into an album that may be just as fun to listen to as it is to talk about.
