From there, West's career took off, and he quickly skyrocketed to notoriety as a rapper and musician. <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/kanye-west-unfollows-kim-kardashian-instagram-divorce" target="_blank" rel="noopener">West</a> and fashion designer Alex Phifer dated on and off from 2002 until 2008, starting before the rapper's debut album, The College Dropout,&nbsp;and his subsequent rise to fame.&nbsp;In 2006, West proposed to Phifer, however following the death of his mother <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/music/kanye-west-drops-donda-merch-collection-balenciaga" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Donda</a> in 2007, the relationship came to an abrupt end.&nbsp;

The rapper briefly dated the actress in the early 2000s, while he and Phifer were in between dating, but the relationship between the two was very short-lived, and they parted ways shortly after their <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/timothee-chalamet-kylie-jenner-dating-relationship-timeline" target="_blank" rel="noopener">relationship</a> became public.&nbsp;

Model <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/best-looks-bet-awards-2018" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Amber Rose</a> and Kanye West publically dated from 2008 to 2010, but the relationship ended after Rose reportedly made the decision to part ways. The couple frequented red carpets and even starred in <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/the-wild-whimsy-of-louis-vuitton-spring-2024-capsule-by-tyler-the-creator" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Louis Vuitton</a> campaign together.
Following the couple's split, West released his album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, which was inspired by their breakup.&nbsp;

Following <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/kim-kardashian-and-pete-davidson-relationship-timeline-snl" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kim Kardashian's</a> famous short-lived marriage to Kris Humphries in 2012, West and Kardashian began their relationship. In 2013, the couple had their first child together, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/north-west-viral-moments-nori-kim-kanye" target="_blank" rel="noopener">North West</a>, and in 2014, they tied the knot in a stunning ceremony in Florence, Italy. Since then, the couple has welcomed three other children, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
After rumors began of the couple leading separate lives, Kardashian filed for divorce on February 19, 2021, which quickly became one of the most drama-laden splits in celebrity history.&nbsp;

Throughout the summer of 2021, West began dating model <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/irina-shayk-talks-dating-kanye-west-relationship" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Irina Shayk</a>. The two were first spotted publicly together in June 2021 during a romantic getaway in <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/marie-antoinette-myths-queen-of-france" target="_blank" rel="noopener">France</a>. The couple made headlines after they were spotted together at several public events, but shortly after in August, the couple called it quits.&nbsp;

Following his summer romance with Shayk, Ye was linked to 22-year-old model <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/who-is-vinetria-kanye-west-new-girlfriend-dating" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Vinetria</a>. In November 2021, the couple was seen at the first basketball game for his school Donda Academy, but the relationship quickly faded into obscurity, and given West's subsequent relationships, the two have evidently parted ways.&nbsp;

At the beginning of January 2022, Kanye West began publicly dating actress, model, and artist <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/kanye-west-nyc-date-night-new-model-girlfriend-julia-fox" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Julia Fox</a>.
Since they were first spotted in public together, the pair quickly became one of the most prolific celebrity couples of the moment. The couple publically gushed about one another, despite West's recent divorce.
Fox said that she and Ye enjoyed an "<a href="https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/leylamohammed/julia-fox-kim-kardashian-bashed-kanye-west-drug-addict" target="_blank" rel="noopener">instant connection</a>" and the two seemed to be infatuated with one another, but the relationship quickly crumbled after Kim Kardashian reportedly became involved in the relationship, as Fox wrote in her memoir.&nbsp;

Bianca <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/search?query=bianca%20censori&amp;page=1#:~:text=Found%201%20results-,POP%20CULTURE,03.20.2024%20by%20Grace%20Clarke,-Subscriptions" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Censori</a> and Kanye West were first romantically linked in December 2022 after West dropped a song named after her, titled "Censori Overload." The pair likely met through West's brand <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/kanye-west-yeezy-gap-engineered-by-balenciaga-collaboration-demna" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Yeezy</a>, where Bianca Censori has worked as an architectural designer since 2020.&nbsp;
Just a month later, the couple were spotted enjoying a romantic dinner together in <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/buying-beverly-hills-season-2-release-reality-tv-mauricio-umansky-kyle-richards" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Beverly Hills</a> on January 9, 2023, and four days subsequent to their public appearance, they made headlines with the announcement of a private <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/yves-saint-laurent-most-iconic-wedding-dresses" target="_blank" rel="noopener">wedding</a> ceremony. The legal status of their union was called into question, but the two were seen wearing wedding rings several days before the public dinner date.
