With the support of L'OFFICIEL USA and Fashion Group International, Max Mara hosted an evening of discovery, history, and shopping.

On April 11, Max Mara opened the doors of its Madison Avenue store for an evening of shopping and champagne with members of the non-profit Fashion Group International and fellow fashion fans. Despite the rain, friends of the brand flocked to hear Max Mara USA's Chief Commercial Officer Pietro Frassa, Maryanne Grisz, President and CEO of FGI, and &nbsp;L'OFFICIEL USA's Editor-in-Chief Caroline Grosso delve into the Italian fashion house's rich history and dedication to craftsmanship.

For those who may be unfamiliar, Max Mara is an iconic Italian fashion label renowned for its timeless elegance, high-quality craftsmanship, and luxurious designs. The brand was founded in 1951 by Achille Maramotti in Reggio Emilia, Italy. An innovator ahead of his time, Maramotti paired the know-how of French fashion with the best technology of the day from America to create one of the first post-war ready-to-wear fashion companies in Italy. The brand quickly gained recognition for its impeccable tailoring, classic silhouettes, and innovative use of materials. Max Mara's signature creations include the double-faced camel coat and the teddy coat, both of which are still available to this day.
A highlight of the evening was a sneak peek behind the scenes at the Max Mara atelier, where creative director Ian Griffiths dreams up the latest collections. Guests also watched a mini Spring 2024 collection runway show, while the panelists chimed in about the construction and desirability of each piece. The Max Mara Spring 2024 collection nods to the Women&rsquo;s Land Army, an English war-time group comprising women from all socioeconomic backgrounds who worked together to keep the economy afloat while the country's men were shipped off to fight in WWII.&nbsp;
A portion of the evening's sales went directly to Fashion Group International, a global non-profit organization that works to support fashion industry professionals around the world.
