Whether she's chatting with Jun Takahashi about his 5-9 after his 9-5 at Undercover, swapping Fashion Week horror stories with Lucien Page, or gossiping with Rick Owens, Brenda Weischeror Brendahashtag as she's become known onlineis a force of an influencer-fashion journalist-business owner to be reckoned with.

Weischer graduated from the prestigious Central Saint Martins—where better to learn the art of fashion journalism than one of the world's leading design schools?—in 2017 and headed straight to Berlin, a fashion hotspot for the ultra-chic, to ingratiate herself into the scene. Upon her arrival, she launched Disruptive Berlin, a designer second-hand vintage shop.

Although Weischer is young, she's been growing her platform online for the past decade, and thanks to her eye for vintage fashion, endearing personality, business-savvy mindset, and passion for her craft, she's developed an expansive online fanbase, a loyal readership for her column "Brenda's Business" in 032c, and a killer closet—which unsurprisingly, is a hot topic amongst her fans.

It seems as though every time she uploads a post with her closet in the background, which she jokes is only two racks, she goes viral for the size of it, her impressive collection of vintage designer pieces, and her strict black-and-white color palette—which also translates to her social media feeds. With countless outfit photos that appear straight out of our Pinterest mood boards, Weischer has become synonymous with her muted wardrobe, which features everything from vintage leather jackets to Y2K-era Chanel blouses.

Favoring designers like Ann Demeulemeester, Maison Margiela, Issey Miyake, and Rick Owens, to name a few, Weischer has curated the ultimate wardrobe, and while she's not shy about showing off her latest finds on TikTok, users continue coming back to Weischer's page not only because of her impeccable style and envy-worthy closet, but also because of her genuine love for fashion. Countless influencers boast expansive wardrobes, but many haven't seen the same success as Weischer within the fashion sphere because despite what outward appearances may suggest, she is not the aspirational, unattainable brand of It Girl that has recently emerged on social media. Weischer frequently shares her most worn pieces and favorite looks of the moment with fans on TikTok or Instagram, making it clear her closet isn't just an aesthetic choice—it's a hobby, an art form, and a source of joy.

As an influencer and editor, Weischer has emerged as an It Girl within the fashion sphere among the likes of Emma Chamberlain and Ashley Rous—better known as @bestdressed—who are beloved by millions for their sense of humor, genuine passion for clothing and design, and relatability. In the past year, BrendaHashtag had a major presence at Fashion Week events and found herself in the front rows of shows like Dior, Helmut Lang, Rick Owens, Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton, and Thom Browne, an achievement which generated genuine, palpable excitement that was apparent even through social media.

With a newly launched podcast, a successful column, and a strong social media presence, the reign of BrendaHashtag is just beginning, and hopefully, the future has more vintage hauls, interviews with our favorite designers, and chats on the realities of the fashion world in our future.
